Tourism history of Kattilakoski

Tourism activities began in the Kattilakoski area as early as 1955. It was one of the early tourism destinations in Lapland.

Old maps marked Kattilakoski as a scenic attraction because of its flat riverside rocks, sandy coves and Tornio River rapids. The same natural features still make it a special place to rest and fish.
